BayBuddy Program
SoBay PTO is back with the 4th annual BayBuddy — connecting new families with friendly faces once again!
This program connects new families with experienced volunteer Sponsor Families to help answer questions and ease the transition into Somerset Academy Bay during their first year. Led by the PTO in partnership with school administration, the PTO Board collects all applications and pairs families based on their children’s grade levels. Once matched, introductions are made promptly via email.
Sponsor families are encouraged to check in regularly with their new family by email, text, or in person to offer support. While sponsors aren’t expected to have all the answers, they can help guide new families to the right resources or contacts.
As a thank you, Sponsor Families participating in BayBuddy will earn 15 school volunteer hours.
