As we look forward to an exciting 2026–2027 school year, we are thrilled to invite parents to apply for Room Parent volunteer positions across all grade levels!

Why become a Room Parent?

Room Parents play a special and valued role in building a strong, connected classroom community. You’ll partner with your child's teachers to help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment where students and parents feel supported and involved.

It’s a meaningful, rewarding, and fun way to stay connected throughout the school year and make a real impact in your child’s classroom.

Room Parent Responsibilities Include:

  • Active PTO membership and participation
  • Yearlong commitment
  • Serving as class WhatsApp administrator and sharing updates from teachers and PTO
  • Supporting a positive, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Acting as a helpful point of contact for parent questions
  • Encouraging clear and respectful communication between families and staff
  • Organizing classroom collections for teacher appreciation and classroom funds with transparency and care (Venmo/Zelle recommended)
  • Assisting with classroom celebrations, events, and field trips as needed
  • Ensuring all families have opportunities to participate in classroom activities
  • Promoting the ACT Fund and other school-wide initiatives and events

Estimated time commitment: 1–2 hours per week (full volunteer hours credited)

Application Details:

  • Application window: 8/10/2026 – 8/17/2026
  • This page remains open year-round for reference, but applications are only accepted during this period
  • Applicants must be active PTO members
  • Final selections will be made by homeroom teachers
  • Each classroom will have two Room Parents
  • Room Parents will be announced on 08/24/2026
